Last year Julius Brockman, Store Manager of the Southborough Hospice in The Weald shop embarked on a Retail Management Level 3 qualification with Runway Training. 15 months on and it was fantastic for Oliver Trailor, Managing Director of Runway Training and Faye Davis who assessed Julius, to visit his shop and present him with his certificate. Julius was delighted with the visit and said that he had “learned a great deal from the qualification which he had been able to put in to practice, having a really positive effect on the shop”.

The visit presented an ideal opportunity to take some photos and for Faye and Oliver to chat to Julius about his future plans and how the shop was going. With Christmas fast approaching the shop had been very busy and it was fantastic to see so many people doing their Christmas shopping whilst also supporting the Hospice. There was just about enough time for a quick browse through the goods on offer, then Faye and Oliver left Julius to get on with his day. Faye said that “he has been a fantastic learner and to come and present his certificate at the shop was a great way to recognise the hard work he had put in”.
