It is now even easier to take on-line Functional Skills courses in maths and English in the Sheffield area. Runway Training have opened a new office for learners in the north of England which will specialise in English and Maths on-line functional skills courses. These courses have proved exceptionally popular for those needing a maths or English qualification which is equivalent to a GCSE Grade C or above to access university or other further learning.
On-line Functional Skills courses have the advantage that you can study at your own pace and in your own time to fit in with your busy life style. There is no need to go to a college or other place of learning in the evenings or at the weekends – you can study in the comfort of your own home or anywhere you have an internet connection. Whilst the learning can all be undertaken on line the final assessment needs to be invigilated by one of our trained staff. Runway Training offer a unique service for learners for this final assessment: you can either come to our office in Sheffield for your final assessment or we can send an invigilator to you so that you can take your Functional Skills assessment at your place of work or at a suitable location close to your home.

Runway Training has specialised in on-line courses in English and maths since 2008 and have helped thousands of learners achieve qualifications which has enabled them to access further and higher education. Learners take a diagnostic assessment so that we can identify in which areas they have strengths and those areas that need to be developed. We then generate an Individual Learner Plan for each learner so that they can focus on those areas that need the most attention. This is supported by information, video clips, regular assessments and a tutor. How long you take to achieve your qualification is entirely up to you. If you have plenty of time to dedicate to your learning the quicker you will succeed.
