We are looking for an engaging and highly motivated Leadership and Management Teacher to deliver Skills Bootcamps across Hampshire. This role involves teaching adult learners relevant, industry-aligned leadership and management skills, to help them progress into supervisory or management roles. You will play a key part in supporting learner success and local workforce development.

In addition to planning and delivering engaging lessons, you will also be required to monitor learner attendance and progress. There is an expectation that teachers share and uphold our values of Respect, Empowerment, Excellence and Collaboration.

Main Responsibilities & duties of the role.

  • Deliver engaging and practical Leadership & Management training in line with Skills Bootcamp standards and employer needs.
  • Motivate and inspire learners through the programme.
  • Ensure learners understand the requirements, features, and benefits of their programme.
  • Offer information, advice and guidance to learners throughout their programme to support their progression into a positive destination.
  • Use differentiation to set tasks that challenges all learners
  • Teach using a range of styles and aids, with individual and group tasks that develop knowledge and social interaction with others
  • Mark, Assess, monitor, and provide written/verbal feedback to learners re their work, interaction and soft skills
  • Ensure compliant completion of all paperwork.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as set and requested by the Senior Teacher to report on attendance, progress made, concerns, and any other related information. .
  • Liaise with employers, partners, and internal teams to ensure high-quality learner outcomes and job progression.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the Bootcamp offer through feedback and evaluation.
  • Champion inclusive and accessible learning environments.
  • Work to, and achieve company set key performance indicators
  • Attend training events / courses as required, maintaining own CPD
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and adult learners, ensuring that any concerns are raised with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Professional experience, skills and knowledge

Essential

  • Proven experience as a teacher in the required subject areas
  • Proven experience of building good relationships with students
  • Knowledge of strategies to maximise student attendance and achievements.
  • Well organised
  • Experience of working with a range of ages
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills plus use of Internet, Social Media and on-line teaching platforms (Teams, Zoom etc)

Desirable

  • Willingness to attend training courses to widen scope of subjects that can be taught
  • Attendance at conferences to ensure latest ideas and strategies are implemented
  • Strong teamworking skills with colleagues to enable progress, coordination and cover for illness, holiday etc when required
  • Awareness and experience of Ofsted inspections and requirements to ensure Good/Outstanding grades

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics
  • Minimum L3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
  • L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or willing to work towards)
  • Level 3 qualification in Leadership and Management
  • Demonstrable experience of holding a management position for a minimum of 3 years+

Desirable

  • Level 2 IAG qualification
  • L5 Diploma in Education and Training (or willing to work towards)
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
  • Ability to effectively manage difficult situations between learners
  • Experience of teaching Leadership and Management Programmes

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and effective interpersonal skills. Team player
  • Be able to engage and develop professional relationships with adult learners, people with potentially challenging barriers to employment and those from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to set and work to deadlines
  • Calm, supportive and caring
  • Punctual both in terms of arrival in the morning and being ready to start lessons on time (expectation is that teachers are in the classroom at least 15 minutes before the session is due to start, so each learner can be welcomed in as they arrive)
