To plan and deliver high quality, inspiring teaching, learning and assessment to learners across a range of Health and Social Care programmes including but not limited to apprenticeships, diplomas and short courses.
The candidate must keep an accurate record of attendance, performance and progress being made by each individual learner, ensuring that reviews take place. Identify areas for improvement which assist progress towards completion of all aspects of the course. Create an inspiring environment for students to learn and support individuals with any problems they have as a first point of contact.
Plan and deliver lessons to small groups of learners, ensuring that
learners make regular and significant progress from their initial starting
point, applying formative assessment methods frequently, to measure
progress against learning outcomes.
Conduct regular reviews with learners (including other stakeholders
where relevant) to review distanced travelled and set meaningful
targets to ensure continued progress is made towards the learning
outcomes of the programme.
To maintain the health, safety, and wellbeing of learners through the
application of robust behaviour management, e-safety and safeguarding
methods, following the centre’s procedures if these do not meet
required expectations.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Apprenticeships Manager to the
progress of individual learners, agreeing on suitable action plans for
success where progress is not being met as expected.
Ensure that the e-portfolio for each learner is kept up to date, with
worked marked and feedback provided within an agreed timeframe.
Liaise with employers (or other relevant stakeholders) as necessary.
Follow the centre’s procedures and quality assurance process with all
learners at all times.
Provide impartial support and CEIAG to learners.

• Experience of delivering workshops both on-line and face to face
• Previous experience of OFSTED Inspections/Monitoring visits
• Proven experience of building good relationships with learners and employers
• Knowledge of strategies to maximise learner achievements
• Well organised
• Exemplary knowledge of Safeguarding, including Prevent and British Values and How to Safeguard Young People
• Strong Microsoft Office skills plus use of Internet, social media, and online teaching platforms (Teams, Zoom etc)
Desirable
• Willingness to attend training courses to widen scope of subjects that can be taught
• Attendance at conferences to ensure latest ideas and strategies are Implemented
• Strong teamworking skills with colleagues to enable progress, coordination and cover for illness, holiday etc when required.
• Awareness and experience of Ofsted inspections and requirements to ensure Strong/Exceptional grades
Essential
• Minimum L3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
• Level 2 IAG qualification
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics
Desirable
• L5 Diploma in Education and Training (or willing to work towards)
• L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent)
• L4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
The role is to play a key part in delivering the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Learning Disability and Autism to people who work in health and social care.
