As the Finance coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and administering the financial records, systems and processes.

Main Responsibilities & duties of the role.

  • Assist in planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure appropriate and effective management of the company’s finances.
  • Process payroll amendments for all staff each month. Liaise with payroll provider, check and approve reports. Prepare and post payroll journals.
  • Process all payments related to payroll, including tax and pension.
  • Check all expenses have been approved, upload to Xero, and then arrange payment.
  • Check all invoice payables are approved, upload to Xero, and then arrange payment.
  • Check all Soldo transactions and investigate any expected transactions.  Keep the Soldo account, and staff cards up to date.
  • Check fixed assets purchases have been processed correctly to the Balance Sheet.
  • Raise Sales Invoices as required and send to customers. Investigate any customer enquiries.
  • Debtor Management, assist in the collection of overdue fees.
  • Undertake Bank Reconciliations and investigate any unexpected entries.  Ensure all Bank Accounts are fully reconciled at the month end.
  • Maintain Xero accounts and ensure that all transactions are recorded to the correct account / cost codes. Undertaken month end checks on account recording.
  • Maintain all Balance Sheet account reconciliations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, asset accounts and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare month end journals to include prepayments and accruals.
  • Maintain information needed to prepare tax returns and financial statements/reports. Assist with any tax compliance issues.
  • Assist to identify and report potential opportunities for cost savings, revenue generation and benefits.
  • Maintain all required financial databases.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Review insurance policies and financial transactions to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial systems and procedures as required.
  • Assist with cash flow management.
  • Assist with the monthly financial statements to the Managing Director, Senior Management Team, Delivery Managers, and other relevant parties as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures as required.
  • Any other reasonable duties that are required.

Development

  • Being responsible for own professional development
  • Being involved in broader workings of the organisation (e.g. through involvement in working groups such as IAG standardisation meetings)

General

  • Undertake all duties in accordance with Runway Training’s policies and procedures with reference to Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • AAT qualification (or willing to work towards)
  • Financial and analytical skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent passes including English and Maths.
  • Excellent people skills

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level
  • Willing to undertake further qualification as part of self-development
