Ebbsfleet Development Corporation are funding Runway Training to deliver an employability programme to give local people the skills to work in a booming industry
The aim of this programme is to introduce participants to a career in the built environment. The programme is aimed at upskilling Dartford and Gravesham residents and starts with a 4-day programme. Participants will gain an understanding of the employment opportunities in the built environment and how to access them. Build their confidence and knowledge of the various trades and take part in hands on session with a local employer.
Lara Pool, Skills Coordinator, Ebbsfleet Development Corporation said “Ebbsfleet Garden City provides a wealth of career opportunities in the built environment from both aspiring trades personnel, such as bricklayers, carpenters and plumbers, to experienced site managers and town planners. We have a particular desire to work with women and young people as they often do not associate themselves with construction careers, but there are opportunities for all within the sector.”
We are delighted to be working with the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation to up-skill local people and support them into employment. The programme is supported by employers in the Garden City, and we look forward to welcoming our first cohort very soon.
