Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To source high quality work experience placements for Traineeship students
  • To build links with the local business community and communicate the benefits of Traineeships
  • To establish and build upon existing referral source links such as Kent County Council and The Job Centre
  • To represent Runway Training with attendance at key meetings; deputising for senior staff members and undertaking roles and duties in addition to the core responsibilities of the role.
  • Contribute to short and long-term achievement of project targets
  • Provide effective information, advice & guidance to potential and existing learners
  • Contribute to the process of making external bids for funding streams and new contracts and undertake external presentations as required.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the Traineeship programme, responding to any issues, showing initiative and a desire to continually improve
  • Undertake learner progress reviews and exit questionnaires as required
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with learners to ensure targets and work experience is managed appropriately.
  • To participate in team meetings and contribute effectively
  • To participate and support quality assurance activities
  • To build and maintain a good working knowledge of funding rules and methodology
  • To provide support and assistance to all colleagues to ensure service levels and company objectives are achieved
  • To keep abreast of changes and developments in the provision of products and services offered by the company

Qualifications

  • Grade 4-9 (A*-C) English GCSE or equivalent

  • The ability to guide and support colleagues working with learners
  • An ability to understand, implement and construct professional boundaries
  • An ability to initiate and maintain constructive relations with clients, colleagues and other professionals from a wide variety of cultural and social backgrounds
  • Good English and maths skills.
  • Excellent IT skills (i.e. email, Word, Excel etc.)
