Business Development Executive

As Business Development Executive, you will be actively involved in raising the profile of Runway Training with employers and taking a lead role in ensuring that targets are met for a range of employer provision.

The provision includes ESFA programmes, including Apprenticeships and adult skills, plus commercial and bespoke programmes and training.

You will be required to support all aspects of employer engagement including large Corporate clients, SMEs and individuals. Working within the Business Development team and with the Head of Apprenticeships.

Reporting to:

Business Development Manager

Please note all candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK and most own a Full driving licence and be willing to travel across Kent and Sussex with occasional travel to London.

Salary

£20,000 - £35,000

Working week

Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00

The Post

  • To achieve targets by promoting a range of provision to employers, including, but not exclusively, Apprenticeships and adult skills, commercial training and short courses.
  • To contribute to the key priorities for growth and quality as set out in the employer engagement strategy.
  • To account manage existing clients with particular emphasis on larger employers.
  • To generate employer leads, respond to employer enquiries / referrals and conduct initial visits to ascertain training needs.

Development

  • Being responsible for own professional development.
  • Being involved in broader workings of the organisation (e.g. through involvement in working groups).

General

  • Undertake all duties in accordance with Runway Training’s policies and procedures with particular reference to Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities.

Skills required

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills (written and verbal)
  • Driven and focused with an understanding of KPIs and the ability to hit targets
  • An ability to organise your own workload including the capacity to handle pressure and to be adaptable to changing or conflicting demands
  • The ability to guide and support colleagues working with learners
  • An ability to understand, implement and construct professional boundaries
  • An ability to initiate and maintain constructive relations with clients, colleagues and other professionals from a wide variety of cultural and social backgrounds
  • Good English and maths skills
  • Excellent IT skills (i.e. email, Word, Excel etc.)
