Business Admin Apprenticeship – Tunbridge Wells

To provide effective co-ordination across multiple marketing channels including websites, PPC, social media, live events and direct outreach via email. In addition, managing the set-up and co-ordination of new and existing click-360 customer projects towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with TLC Online vision and values. As well, liaising between the software development team and our clients

You will work closely with the CEO. You will be office based, spending most of your time communicating to prospects and clients. Occasional client and prospect visits will be expected, usually accompanied by the CEO. At first, you will spend time learning the products & services and the processes and you will be given more and more responsibility as your competence and confidence grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acknowledging customer orders
  • Providing purchase orders to suppliers, esp. the software development team
  • Maintaining client records and filing
  • Managing stock of promotional materials
  • Sharing responsibilities around the office
  • Answering the phone, etc.
  • Monitoring your own performance and providing timely feedback on own performance to the CEO.
  • Controlling expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Initiating and managing multiple marketing campaigns through various channels.
  • Maintaining accurate activity records and maintaining the Gold-Vision CRM system.
  • Planning and managing occasional live marketing events, including logistics and venue management.

Over time additional responsibilities:

  • Project co-ordinating new and existing client click-360 projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Dealing with queries as they arise. Mainly telephone.
  • Achieving agreed customer satisfaction targets for the TLC Online business.
  • Maintaining contact with existing clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Invoicing projects and keeping the order book and prospect pipeline up to date.
  • Maintaining accurate activity records and maintaining the Gold-Vision CRM system.
  • Setting up and running webinar training around the online feedback tools for client administrators.
  • Collecting and reporting on customer feedback to the CEO.
  • Keeping up to date with own products and competitor products.

Continuously and proactively making suggestions for improving TLC Online products and services, as well as the service we give to customers and clients

Working hours

08:30 – 17:30 w/ 1 hour unpaid lunch

40 hours per week

Required Skills

  • Good keyboard writing skills including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems (e.g. CRM).
  • Working knowledge of social media channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

  • Passionate about serving customers, with excellent customer-facing skills (face-to-face/telephone and in writing).
  • Showing initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Highly organised and able to plan ahead.
  • Achieving completion on all tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Personable and socially skilled.
  • Possessing good business sense – commercially intuitive.
  • Able to work calmly under pressure.
  • Happy to work both on your own and as part of a small team.
  • The ability to be assertive when necessary.
  • Open to learning new skills and sharing ideas, with a creative way of approaching challenges.
  • Some understanding, empathy with and interest in the world of Organisational Development and Learning & Development would be a bonus.

Locally based and able to drive with own transport.

None, but A-C English is preferable

Reality Check

This is a large role with plenty of scope for development. Initially a Business Admin position with elements of marketing, but potential to grow the role quickly for the right candidate.
